Birthed from the work of the Black L.U.V. Festival, Social Art and Culture [SAAC] was founded in 2009 on the principle of using the arts to bring awareness of the challenges (and successes) of being an artisan in the DC metro area who understands social responsibility.  SAAC has worked with numerous organizations on a variety of projects that have earned many honors. Social Art and Culture is a 501c (3) located in Historic Anacostia in Washington, DC.

7 hours of Main Stage Programming: Performance Art and Music featured on the Main Stage. Features 7 Black, Hispanic, and Asian American DC Metropolitan artisans and 2 National Artists in Soul, Reggae, Salsa, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Hip Hop and Gospel and 5 Activists focused on Civil, Environmental and Social Justice.

Marketplace/Food: 50% of the 25 Marketplace vendors consist of handmade crafts from DC, MD and VA artisans plus 9 food vendors.  Partnership with Nubian Hueman Boutique
